Theres something very different about the #MetGala this year... Instead of being held on the first Monday of May the Met Gala will be held on Monday the 13th of September, 21 weeks after it is normally held due to covid-19. The charity event will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in #NewYorkCity. According to a press release from the met gala this years theme is "In American: A Lexicon Of Fashion" *I'm exited to see what fashion designers the celebrities wear this year!!*
Although the guest list hasn't been confirmed suspicions have been raised and alleged seating charts have been leaked, leading people to be almost underwhelmed with the guest list. It consists of Internet personalities all the way to sports stars like Allyson Felix. But luckily you will be seeing some familiar faces on the red carpet this year such as #JenniferLopez #Beyoncé #Rihanna #CardiB and #KimKardashian
With Social media sensation Addison Ray rising to fame on the social media platform TikTok in 2019 she has now burst into mainstream Hollywood Fame, releasing her own music, appearing on 'keeping up with the kardashians', staring in new #Netflix remake "She's All That" and Modeling. We find her to be sitting with the likes of Donatella Versace, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Naomi Campbell. Fans are claiming that "Addison Ray shouldn't be sitting with these #VIP's".
Another chart shows us that Youtube Star and #MakeUpGuru James Charles, who attended the charity event in 2019, along with #TikTok Influencer Charli D'Amelio will be sitting with stars like Cara Delevingne, Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner and Lana Del Rey upsetting fans so much more.
There have also been rumours that other social media stars like Nikita Dragun, Dixie D'amelio, Noah Beck Loren Gray, Jeffree Star, Bretman Rock, Bella Poarch and Khabane Lame are invited to this event. Many spectators say that "they aren't really worthy of going and that the spaces could have gone to some else" but this just shows us how much influence social media stars really have.
If rumours are true then this will mean that Cardi B will be pregnant for the second at the met gala, as she was in 2018 when she attended the Met Gala for the first time. Also some more great news for all you #Swifties, Taylor Swift will be attending the met gala for the first time in 5 years.
Althought none of this information has been confirmed an Instagram Met Gala Fan Account (@_metgala2021) released the mock seating chart showing its rumoured guests and captioned it "This is how the dinner would risk being. Nothing is confirmed here, so don't believe everything you see" But we'll have to wait and see how everything plays out on the 13th of September.
